Beautiful Ferryland for a catered picnic by the establishment within the light house kitchen. Ferryland is beautiful in sunshine or fog. It carries a great history of shipwrecks, days of old and rich stories. It is a favorite visit spot to all Tourists who visit there. Ferryland was founded in 1621. The area carries great appeal and is very natural. It also is the anchor for tourism with the Colony of Avalon Archaeology Dig Site/Interpretation Centre.

Tourists are often swept to sea or crushed up the rocks in Newfoundland, Canada because they underestimate the power of the sea. Rouge waves are an often conincidence here on NL shores. Often we see things in the media of Tourists drowing. The sea is a dangerious and powerful mistress, and demands respect at a distance. This video was taken on famous Middle Cove beach, January 26 2010.
