Canadian Newfoundland Seal Hunters Violating DFO Law

July 29th, 2010

The Seal Killers & DFO have a lot to hide from the world. Canadian Sealers passed a LAW that stops YOU from getting pictures of their crimes against nature. This video reveals multiple crimes and violations, and they attempted to confiscate it so that You in the world would not see it.

Scene 1: Killing taking 3 hits
Seal Hunters often say they only kill in 1 hit. False.

Scene 2: 2 hits inserting hakapik into mouth
Seal Hunters often deny they stick the bladed hakapik into seals mouths. Proof:

Scene 3: Seal hit in head, lost in ocean
Sealers often say none suffer. This shows some are hit & then slip into the ocean and are lost. Still suffering from abuse & crushed tissue.

Scene 4: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 hits, drags seal still flipping around alive, standing there doing nothing, then steps on head leaves it.
Seal Hunters often claim they kill quick & humane. There is even a law for it. This shows a sealer hitting 5 times & the seal is still alive. Then he stands there, letting it suffer. This is proof. And even worse, Sealers take their boots and step on seals necks, spine, and he steps on its head.

scene 5: Proof Hakapik takes multiple hits

Scene 6: pushes seal into ocean
Sealer intentionally pushes a baby seal into the sea.

Scene 7: More evidence of multiple hits

Scene 8: throwing seal into ocean
Sealers say they dont waste. Here is a sealer throwing a seal and meat into the water.

Scene 9: Hitting seal that still has portion of white coat.
Sealers say they dont kill babies. Or white coats. When whitecoats molt, they change from white to gray at only about 12 to 14 days old. Midway they still have partly white fur as they are molting. This shows a Sealer hitting seals with still partial white coat.

Sealers & Seal hunting hurts the entire nation of Canada and its people. Stop these Sealers and their crimes.

Newfoundland Introductions

July 29th, 2010

A week ago I visited my friend at her home, the home of the Brookside Newfoundlands. Four of her five dogs are the grandchildren, great-grandchildren, maybe great-great-grandchildren of my Lola who passed away four years ago at age 13. I asked her to do introductions so I could sort out the family tree.

Is it true that Canada has more British influence and culture than the USA though the two are similar?

July 27th, 2010

The USA and Canada seem very similar to each other, but when I go to both countries I notice Canada have more British culture and influences than the USA. Canada spell with British English (colour, honour, centre) even though the American and Canadian accents are similar. Canada also seem more pro-British. The Royal Flag of Canada still has the Union Jack. The flags of British Columbia, Ontario, Newfoundland, Alberta have Union Jacks on it

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Canadian_Red_Ensign.svg

In Ontario I notice a lot of people are proud of the fact that their ancestors fought with Britain against the USA in American Revolutionary War of 1776 and in the War of 1812. I went to Victoria and they drink high tea in many parts of the city. Canada used to drive on the left until 1924 as well. Canada also write the date DD/MM/YYYY and in Québec they use commas for decimals and the period for thousands place i.e. $2.000,60. Canada are also a Dominion and a member of the British Commonwealth, none of which the USA are. Canada also have universal healthcare like Britain.

To be honest, I think you have made some astute observations and have basically answered your own question. Canada was a British colony longer than was the USA, so retained more British influence. I also think that, with the demise of the British Empire, Canada and England have become more similar in politics and influence – as middle powers rather than super powers. The USA’s status as the world’s biggest superpower gives it a unique identity and a type of national patriotism that we just don’t see in the UK or Canada.
